Jamil Akhundov
Founder and Managing Partner
Jamil is the founder and managing partner of Ploutos Associates. He has over 25 years of experience in asset-based debt financing. Prior to founding Ploutos, Jamil was associated with Merrill Lynch Commodity Partners in London. He has also been with Morgan Stanley’s real estate, energy, and utilities investment banking team in London. Jamil holds an MBA from France (Nantes) and Spain (Bilbao). He has done an MSc in Economics (Warwick). He speaks English, Russian, and Azeri fluently, and he has a good knowledge of French.
Reda Diouri
Senior partner
Reda Diouri is a Senior Partner at Ploutos Associates, bringing over 11 years of professional experience in capital markets and investment banking in London. He specializes in structuring bespoke financing solutions across real estate and corporate transactions, working closely with clients and funding partners to deliver strategic, efficient, and innovative capital solutions across Europe.

Zeb Iqbal
Partner
Zeb completed his Biochemistry degree at Salford University and went on to read law. He joined Walker Morris solicitors for a time and then turned his hand to property. It was through a high value property purchase that he came across Jamil for funding. Both Jamil and worked together so well that Zeb was able to introduce quite a few other deals. Jamil reached out to Zeb to join the team at Ploutos. Because of Zeb’s legal background he understands property transactions and structuring of finance. As such he is able to liaise extremely well with lawyers to ensure a smooth and speedy completion of deals.

In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering at events, travelling, cycling and listening to music.

Driss Diouri specialises in complex real estate and alternative credit transactions across the UK and European markets. At Ploutos, he oversees origination support, structuring, and full-cycle execution, managing client relationships and underwriting workflows. He coordinates multi-jurisdictional bridging, development, and mezzanine facilities with precision and efficiency.
